Failing to read corals is not fun. This Candy-cane has spoken to me for 4 weeks now, and I misread it. Daylight it looked OK, but nightime it receded.
1st sign. Stopped filtering during night time. No visible "fingers"
2nd sign tissue withdrawal from bottom up
3rd sign failing to expand during daylight.
1 route cause - to high steady state flow at new location in tank during nighttime. There may be more. As the coral kept expanding during daytime in phase 1 and 2, I misread what was happening.
