The Saiga antelope looks like it borrowed its nose from another animal — and somehow made it work. Living in the extreme climates of Central Asia, this bizarre creature uses its oversized, droopy snout to warm freezing air in winter and filter out dust in summer. Add the ability to run 50 miles an hour, and you’ve got one of the strangest survivors on Earth.
