Elephant beaten with an AXE by evil man given a timely treatment and carried to a transit home

This poor baby elephant has been suffering from cruel acts of humans from his very young age. He deprived his mother when he was two years old, as she had become a victim from barbaric jaw exploding trap. After his mother’s tragic departure this poor elephant learnt to live alone in the forest. Due to the shortage of food in the forests, this poor elephant was used to come to the village in search of food and used to eat some crops cultivated by the villager. One cruel outraged villager had hit this poor elephant inhumanely with an axe in retaliation of destroying his cultivated crops. Poor elephant was injured with the beat from a sharp axe.
But luckily the officials of regional wildlife conservation office were soon alerted about this distressed elephant and reached the location within two hours. They cleaned the wound with disinfectant and applied with gentian violet ointment. The timely treatment from the rescue team avoids the formation of infection on the affected areas of the elephant’s body.
In the next day they returned the location again to check the condition of the elephant and decided to carry the elephant to an elephant transit home. The baby elephant will be kept and look after until he will get a complete recovery from wound.
Now they are trying to load the elephant in to a transporting vehicle to be carried in to an elephant transit home. The elephant was confused with the presence of large group of people. He was afraid with the sight of human as he has been already suffering from cruel acts of humans.
They had to tie the elephant with ropes temporarily to ease the loading process of elephant, not to harm him.
This is another tragic outcome of human elephant conflict. Deforestation, industrialization and expansion of the human population has led to shrinkage and fragmentation of the wild animal habitat, leading to increased human-animal encounters, especially elephants.
Elephants are the largest land mammal alive today. They are mega herbivores whose survival depends upon migration to broad areas searching for food, water, and reproductive requirements. Expansion of the human population, deforestation, and urbanization has led to shrinkage of their habitat and proximity to humans resulting in frequent Human Elephant Conflicts, which are frequently fatal.
Humans have encroached in to elephant territories with the increasing population and shortage of lands. This leads reduction of food availability of elephant. But they are the true owners of these lands. Humans have no right to hurt them in retaliation of destroying their crops.
After several hours of arduous effort the officers were able to load the elephant in to the truck. The elephant will be continuously treated for the injury until it is completely healed in the elephant transit home. There the officers can daily monitor the elephant and keep a watchful eye on possible infections. They’ll take every actions to prevent the infections until the wounds will dry up.
