While the mother is bright red, these little ones have a variety of patterns—yellow, black tiger stripes, and even greyish shades! ???????? Curious about this, I separated the mom from her fry and gave the babies their first meal. Turns out, this is common when mom pairs with a tiger-pattern Platy. Most babies take after mom, but some carry their dad’s unique genes!
