This bird was a challenge for me to train! Despite being a Cockatoo, which are known to be really friendly, this one has a shy personality. To make him comfortable it was really important to take my time and not push him any more than he is ready for. Although he probably wouldn't bite, I did not want to upset him by handling him when he wasn't ready. This would be a big violation of trust and a setback. So I work at his pace and make sure he is comfortable. I use positive reinforcement training to build up the skills and relationship.
