Amazing Reptile and Amphibian Wild Life
Reptiles and amphibians are two distinct classes of animals that have some similarities, but also many differences.Reptiles are cold-blooded, have scaly skin, and typically lay eggs. They include animals such as snakes, lizards, crocodiles, and turtles. Many reptiles are also able to survive in dry environments, thanks to their scaly skin, which helps to prevent water loss.Amphibians, on the other hand, are also cold-blooded, but have moist, glandular skin and typically lay their eggs in water. They include animals such as frogs, toads, salamanders, and newts. Amphibians also have the ability to breathe through their skin as well as their lungs, which allows them to survive in both aquatic and terrestrial habitats. Both groups of animals are important to the ecosystem and play different roles in the food chain. However, many species of reptiles and amphibians are facing population declines due to habitat loss, pollution, and other human activities.
