November was not a pretty month. It was rough just about every single day. The surge, the rip currents, and the weather were all just nasty, and yet we still managed to capture some great moments. During the rough waters, the fish that seemed to be around and fight the currents were the new little nuggets, fries, and bumblebees (nuggets - unidentified newborn fish, fries - baby porkfish, and bumblebees - baby sergeant major fish). Mutton snapper came around at the beginning of the month and midway through a beautiful grey angelfish came around. We caught a glimpse of a new fish to the camera - the goatfish. A hammerhead came by, quite meatier than the one we had the other month, and a reef shark came by and made close to 30 passes in one night! A commorant swam by multiple times again, which I found appropriate since it was Thanksgiving, but that could just be my weird sense of humor. ????

Now the best part.... ready for this?! King Benny is back! Not in the same palace, in fact not even on the same side - but you can now find him on the north side!! Can't believe how much we have missed his majesty in all his cuteness and glory.

It has been interesting to see this month's progress. The baitfish started out thick and active but moved further into the shadows as the month went by. The newborns showed up midmonth and kept us entertained during some very turbulent days where the visibility was limited. And then at the end of the month, the tarpon started to roll back in. Prepare yourself, here comes my cheesy comment: During some of the roughest times, we have seen a new generation submerge and old friends find their way back home. There is always something to be thankful for! Hope you found something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving season.
