Frogs are very special animals! They consume vast amounts of insects, are themselves, a source of food for many other forms of wildlife and most importantly, frogs serve as excellent environmental indicator species. Because amphibians are sensitive to their environment’s condition, they tell us a lot about the health of a particular ecosystem. We are living l through unprecedented times where species of amphibians are going extinct at an exponential rate. It is estimated that nearly 200+ species of amphibians have gone extinct since 1980 due to challenges and pressures caused by disease, climate change, pollution, loss of habitat and more. These animals are incredibly important and unless we act now, it’s hard to say what sort of ecological and environmental consequences will follow. We must do our part to protect precious habitat and nurture the environment. Save and love frogs! ????????!
