African Cichlids of the "Nimbochromis" family are considered by many to be the most aggressive, meanest Lake Malawi cichlids available in the hobby. For this reason many have either given up on trying to keep them or avoided them altogether. I've certainly had issues with them and have kept nearly every kind that is available including venustus (Nimbochromis venustus), livingstonii (Nimbochromis livingstonii), polystigma (Nimbochromis polystigma), linni (Nimbochromis linni) and the "fusco" (Nimbochromis fuscotaeniatus).

You might ask, "Why try to keep these notorious fish in one tank?" Here's why: Because they are spectacular with beautiful colors, distinctive markings and usually have a great interactive personality!

In my years of trying to get them to live together I've come up with 5 tips that might help with keeping them all in the same tank without having them constantly trying to kill each other. For the first time in many years I have a relatively peaceful African Cichlid tank which includes three Nimbochromis, contrary to their reputation.

Take a look at these tips and let me know what you think in the comments below. Do you keep several Nimbochromis in the same tank? How have you managed to do that? Please share and remember to always be learning and don't ever forget - YOU ROCK!

- Join the "Garage Gang" by becoming a Patreon member and get early access to videos and behind the scenes content not available to the public. Use this link for more info: www.patreon.com/user?u=13754188
- Do you shop on Amazon? Use this link to visit my Amazon store (and for all of your Amazon purchases, fish or non-fish related): amazon.com/shop/benochart
Any qualified purchase, after using that link to get to Amazon, will provide the channel with a small percentage. You still get the best price on all goods, so it's a true win-win!
- Visit my TeeSpring store (listed under every one of my videos) and consider purchasing some channel merchandise. The store offers coffee mugs, tees, hoodies and other cool stuff. All purchases pay the channel a small percentage. Use "LIVESTREAM" for a 10% discount at check-out.
- Watch, like, share, sub and hit that bell. Growing the channel is truly the best way to show support and I thank those of you who have done this.
