Frogs are amphibians and need still water to breed. Each spring they return to a pond to mate and reproduce. The eggs are entombed in a jelly like coating which expands as it absorbs the water. Frogs are not very good parents and once finished mating they leave their offspring to fend for themselves. To find out more about wildlife please visit www.mikeswildlifegarden.co.uk
