Frog Week 2025: A Foundational Year for Conservation and Education

Frog Week 2025 marked a groundbreaking chapter in the mission to conserve Pennsylvania’s native frogs and toads. This year, the initiative expanded into a multi-county, multi-platform educational and scientific campaign, solidifying its role as a leading regional amphibian conservation effort.

What is Frog Week?
Frog Week is an annual conservation and citizen science project founded by AAron Capouellez, focused on protecting Pennsylvania’s native amphibians and their habitats. The project includes fieldwork, public education, citizen involvement, media storytelling, and hands-on conservation practices. Running from July 21–27, Frog Week 2025 featured 12 educational and entertaining videos released on the Woods and Forests Media YouTube Channel, documenting conservation efforts, rare encounters, and community stories that inspire a new generation of nature advocates.
