Armadillo - Nature’s Little Tanks

Meet Armadillo, nature’s little tanks.
Found primarily in the Americas, from the Southern United States to Argentina, and they are part of 20 different species, each with its own characteristics.

And of course the most striking feature is its shell, which is made up of bony plates called scutes.
When threatened, some armadillos can curl up into a ball and completely cover their soft and vulnerable parts, making them look like a living armored sphere.
