This is one of the reasons why I dislike feeding my tarantulas live Superworms - They are quick to burrow, and once they do, they disappear and pupae up to become Darkling Beetles. They can be dangerous to tarantulas and other invertebrates. So what I usually do is prekill the superworms prior to feeding, This particular one must've lived that moment.
