Each summer, harbor seal pups are separated from their mothers because of human disturbance. These pups are too young to be on their own in the wild, and need critical care in order to survive.
You can help pups by keeping your distance from animals on the beach, docks, rocks, and other shoreline structures. If you see a marine mammal you are concerned about, call the Marine Mammal Stranding Hotline at 1-866-767-6114.
