Mafuta the Hippo Shows Off for the Elephant Herd ????

While the herd stops for a drink near the homestead, Mafuta, the hippo, is having a splash, rolling around carefree with a foot poking out of the water ???? The elephants keep a close eye on him, especially with the youngsters nearby. But today, there’s no tension, and both species are happy to share the water.

Sebakwe stands calmly with Kumbura, Setombe and Klaserie. He’s a grounding presence for the three cows, especially Kumbura who found comfort in him after her rescue, and Setombe, who is naturally more anxious. We also see Lundi and Tokwe, best friends since their days in Zimbabwe. Lundi still walks beside Tokwe today and even helps with some of the matriarch's responsibilities. And finally, there’s Klaserie and Zindoga. Born in the same year and raised together, they share a sweet and gentle bond that has only deepened over time ????
