Isn’t it so relaxing? For my blackwater tanks, I use the leaves I collected in autumn and stocked for summer, adding them to my tanks as needed. Among the leaves I gather from nature are oak, sycamore, apple, and mulberry leaves. Additionally, my tanks contain catappa, rubber, and jackfruit leaves, as well as casuarina and alder cones. These botanicals release tannins into the water, lowering the pH and creating a healthier environment for soft-water-loving species.
