Birds are deeply rooted in South Africa’s cultural heritage. Called by Birds is an online film series about birds and the age-old stories of symbolism, bird-lore and early naturalists, to today’s conservationists and birdwatchers. It’s a celebration of the diversity and splendor of South Africa’s birdlife and the individuals who have answered to the call of birds.
