Hi Dr Novak. I have an observation to share on the effects of the bcb bags so far. Its a littlle over one month now and although it is still too soon to notice much effects on the Nitrates, what I have noticed is my goldfish have spawned 3 times now & they are much more alert & less stressed since putting the bcb bags and also it seems to break down tannins as well even without the activated carbon or other chemical media. I added tannins using rooiboos tea with the weekly water changes and within 3-4 days the water is crystal clear.
