New fish additions this week to my biotope style reef tank . Although predominantly Caribbean in ‘flavour’ featuring mostly Caribbean gorgonians ( sea fans and sea whips ) and mushroom anemones such as ricordea and including a red mangrove or two from the region, when it came to fish choices I was very limited by design and had to reach out more circum-tropical 5 indo Pacific etc ) as I wanted only very small species and those considered non aggressive for the display . Also paramount to keep the macro algae’s healthy was to overload it with waste from feeding a heavy fish population . The largest fish in the collection is a Gramma Dejongi sometimes referred to as the Cuban Basslet who is Caribbean in origin alongside some Christmas gobys and masked goby . ‘Foreign’ additions include red spot tail cardinal fish and candy stripe nano gobies.
