Spiny Seahorse (Hippocampus histrix) – The Crowned Jewel of the Reef!
Covered in tiny spikes and crowned like a dragon, the spiny seahorse is a shy but stunning resident of the reef. Often clinging to seagrass or coral with its curled tail, it blends into its surroundings perfectly.
This beautiful species grows up to 15 cm (6 inches) in length. And yes — the males give birth after carrying the eggs in their pouch!
