I Went To The Biggest Aquarium in Mexico & Latin America - Acuario De Veracruz & Had So Much Fun! ?

Acuario de Veracruz is the biggest aquarium in Mexico and Latin America! This aquarium is home to over 3,000 species of both local and international marine life. During your tour of the Veracruz Aquarium, you will get a chance to see:

1) Selva de los Tuxlas – a jungle exhibit that showcases keel-billed toucans, blue and yellow macaws, freshwater turtles and more!
2) Freshwater Gallery – with a total of 562,1777 liters of water divided into several tanks that contain over 30 species of freshwater fish, reptiles, and mammals with origins that vary from the Amazon River, Asia, Africa, and North America. The Acuario de Veracruz is the only aquarium in the world that exhibits the BLIND CAVE FISH!
3) Reef Tank Gallery – where you can see approximately 20 species from Veracruzano Coral Reef System National Park, where you can see nurse sharks, groupers, barracudas, white skates, tarpons, and MORE!
4) Saltwater Gallery – with over 60 species of fish and invertebrates from the Gulf of Mexico, the Pacific Ocean, The Red Sea and Australia. Every tank contains a filtration system with biological filters & UV reactors that maintain the water in optimal conditions for each saltwater species. Be prepared to see: morays, Caribbean spiny lobsters, lion fish, blue tangs, and MORE!
5) Shark Tank Gallery – which includes sandbar sharks, tiger sharks, and MORE!
6) Jellyfish Tanks – where you can see 7 different species of jellyfish: from the moon jellyfish, cannonball jellyfish, upside-down jellyfish & MORE!

From Monday to Thursday, The Veracruz Aquarium is open from 10:00 AM to 7 PM
From Friday to Saturday & Holidays, the Veracruz Aquarium is open from 10:00 AM to 7:30 PM

Acuario de Veracruz Entry Fees:
Adults will pay: $170 MXN / $7 USD per person
Kids under 11 will pay: $110 MXN / $5 USD per child

Parking at the Acuario de Veracruz:
If you plan to arrive by car, be sure to bring MXN Pesos coins to pay for parking in the area.
Parking costs $20 MXN (or $1 USD) per hour
