????Hyena Powerful BITE FORCE! #shorts #animals

Hyenas are a family of carnivorous mammals that belong to the Hyaenidae family. There are four species of hyenas: the spotted hyena, the striped hyena, the brown hyena, and the aardwolf. They are native to Africa and parts of Asia.
Spotted hyenas are the largest and most well-known species of hyena, with males weighing up to 155 pounds and females weighing up to 140 pounds. They are known for their distinctive spotted fur and their powerful jaws, which are capable of crushing bones. Spotted hyenas are also highly intelligent and social animals, living in large groups called clans that can number up to 80 individuals.
Striped hyenas are much smaller than spotted hyenas, weighing only up to 90 pounds. They are solitary animals that are primarily nocturnal, and they are known for their distinctive striped fur and their ability to scavenge on carrion.
Brown hyenas are similar in size to striped hyenas and are found in southern Africa. They have a shaggy brown coat and are known for their ability to scavenge and hunt, often preying on small antelopes and rodents.
Despite their reputation as scavengers, hyenas are actually skilled hunters and can take down large prey like wildebeest and zebras.
Spotted hyenas have a unique social structure where females are dominant over males and even the lowest-ranking female is higher in the hierarchy than the highest-ranking male.
Hyenas have a unique vocalization called a "laugh," which is actually a series of whoops and grunts used to communicate with other members of their clan.
Hyenas have a very powerful digestive system that allows them to digest bones and other tough materials that other animals cannot.
Studies have shown that the spotted hyena has the strongest bite force of any terrestrial mammal relative to its body size, with a bite force of up to 1,100 pounds per square inch (psi). To put this into perspective, a human's bite force is only around 160 psi.
Hyenas also have specially adapted skulls and teeth that allow them to efficiently crush bones. Their molars are large and flat, with ridges that help them to break apart and grind up tough materials like bones. They also have powerful muscles in their jaws and necks that allow them to generate tremendous force when biting down.
In addition to their powerful bite force, hyenas are also known for their endurance and persistence when it comes to feeding. They will often continue to chew and crush bones long after other predators have given up, allowing them to extract as much nutrition as possible from their prey.

Often times when two female hyena cubs are born together they will fight each other aggressively. This vicious dual may continue until one of the cubs emerges victorious which frequently results leaving the other sibling dead.
Female hyenas are born into a social hierarchy within their clan, and as they grow older, they establish their rank through various social interactions with other members of the clan. Sometimes, this can involve aggression towards other cubs and often the aggression escalates to the point of death.
Male hyena cubs have been known to also be aggressive towards each other, and occasionally fights between males can be fatal. This is because male hyenas leave their natal clan when they reach sexual maturity, and must compete with other males to establish their rank within a new clan. As a result, male hyenas tend to also be aggressive and fights between males can be very intense.
Hyenas and lions are both apex predators in their respective habitats and often compete for the same resources, such as food and territory. As a result, they are natural enemies and often engage in aggressive interactions.
