Aquascaping in a UNS Long Aquarium

We’re aquascaping in a UNS long aquarium to create a vibrant, comfortable home for guppies, built around a hardscape that showcases the warm character of Mopani Wood and the texture of Hakkai Stones. We started by shaping the layout in a UNS 60L tank with Mopani, one of our newer wood options, then used the smaller-sized Hakkai Accent Stones to create smooth transitions into the aquarium gravel foreground.

To bring the scape to life, we accented the hardscape with Bucephalandra tucked along the base and within the crevices of the wood and stone. In the background, a mix of aquatic stem plants, like Rotala H’ra and Ammannia Sulawesi, adds dynamic color with pinks, oranges, and fresh greens, creating depth and movement behind the structure.

Finished with a selection of stem plants and additional Buce for texture, this layout balances natural warmth with lively color, perfect for an active guppy community. Let us know what you think of the final result!
