Coral Triangle Day

The way, forests have been harvested invasively in the past two centuries, our greed has crossed oceans to quench its undying thirst. Coral reefs are sights of plunder for far too many. These ecosystems are sanctuaries for fish and coral alike. They had been living in harmony for millennia but it has taken less than decades to bring them close to ruin.

However, all hope is not lost. The Coral Triangle Initiative on Coral Reefs, Fisheries, and Food Security (CTI-CFF) has been established by the countries that are part of the Coral Triangle. It is a multilateral partnership to sustain extraordinary marine and coastal resources by addressing crucial issues such as food security, climate change and marine biodiversity.

This fight for the environment is a continuous battle, it helps to be hopeful and it helps when you are aware.
