Looking for the best plants for your low-light aquarium? In today’s video, I’m sharing 12 of my favorite low-light aquatic plants—perfect for beginners or anyone using budget-friendly lighting. These aren’t just theoretical picks—I’ve personally grown all of these in my own tanks using affordable, entry-level lights like the Seaoura SR616 and Hygger HG58.

Low-light plants are ideal for setups that don’t rely on expensive or high-intensity lighting. Whether you're running a shrimp jar, nano tank, or a larger planted setup, the plants featured in this video have proven they can thrive in lower PAR conditions.

You’ll see a mix of classic favorites and underrated gems. From bulletproof epiphytes like Anubias, Bucephalandra, and Java Fern, to carpeting plants like Helanthium tenellum 'Green' and the versatile Dwarf Sagittaria, there’s something here for every aquascaper.
