Native to Africa and parts of Iran, it is the world's fastest land animal, capable of reaching speeds up to 70 mph (113 km/h) in short bursts. Cheetahs possess slender bodies, long legs, and a flexible spine, providing excellent agility during high-speed pursuits. They primarily hunt small to medium-sized ungulates like gazelles and springboks. Unfortunately, cheetahs face threats such as habitat loss, human-wildlife conflict, and poaching, making them classified as vulnerable by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
