Hippos are largely interesting mammals. Literally!
Being the 3rd biggest mammal in existence, the Hippopotamus or 'Hippos' are known for being semi-acquatic animals , having their eyes, ears and nose located above their head, helping them stay in water for longer periods of time. What's even more interesting? Their body sweats an oily red liquid which helps protect their skin from drying out – and acts as a sunblock, too! Cool, huh?
