HOW TO: Aquarium Water Change

The old-school way to remove water from a fish tank is to use a siphon. This is an aged method but it’s been tried and true for decades and still works today. You will have to decide what’s most comfortable for you and your scenario inside of your home. Removing water from a fish tank is never a super easy task but there are some tools to help.

It is very important for the fish and inhabitants in your aquarium to remove some water every so often. If you keep the same aquarium water within the tank it goes bad after set amount of time. Aquarium plants can help you filter the water without having to remove any as well. If you can you should try to introduce plants to your fish tank to reduce the amount of water changes you have to do throughout the year.
