I am constantly asked, "Do reptiles play with toys?" The answer, of course, is yes. Reptiles need and deserve enrichment - very simply, it makes their lives better. Please consider treating your pet reptile like your pet dog or cat... you might be surprised how it responds. Reptiles can and will follow commands if taught through positive reinforcement for desired behavior and negative reinforcement for undesirable behavior (such as not giving the desired treat). I have found that people who have the most success training their animals, are also the ones who have spent the most time with them, but in most cases know the least about reptile behavior, and do not have preexisting knowledge of how they should behave. Be kind to your pet reptiles!!!!
