The aquarium plant known as water sprite is a great floating plant. You can choose to float this plant in your aquarium or plant it in the substrate. That’s what makes water spray one of the easiest plants to grow in the aquarium hobby. It is nearly indestructible and almost anyone can grow it.
If you choose to float the plant water spray make sure that your aquarium light isn’t too close to the water surface. When the light is too close to the surface it tends to burn up plants very quickly. Water sprite will grow very rapidly at the surface because it feeds off of the nutrients in the water column.
