Struggling with algae or weak plant growth? In this video I show exact aquarium light presets that keep my planted tanks clean and healthy photoperiod, intensity, height, and schedule with plug-and-play options for low-tech, CO2, shrimp, and high-tech setups. Copy the presets below and use the troubleshooting flow to fix algae fast.

Quick “Copy & Paste” Presets
• Low-Tech (weeks 1–2): 6 hr @ 40–50%
• Low-Tech (mature): 7–8 hr @ 50–60%
• CO2 Planted: 7–8 hr @ 60–80% • CO2 on 1 hr before lights • CO2 off 1 hr before lights out
• Shrimp/Nano: 6–7 hr @ 35–45% • favor greens, reduce red channel a touch
• High-Tech/Reds: 8 hr @ 70–85% only with stable CO2 & ferts
• Tip: Raise light 2–4 in to reduce hot spots; keep a gentle surface ripple for oxygen.
