This is a 1.1 group, captive-bred in 2007 (female) and 2009 (male). Commonly referred to as the “Tam Dao Warty Newt,” but with the scientific name Paramesotriton deloustali. The original lineage was imported from Vietnam many years ago, and although the importation of Asian newts has long been prohibited, limited captive breeding still occurs. As a result, the species occasionally appears in the hobby, albeit in very small numbers.
