Like many other beautiful things in Miami, the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science is made to be seen. But unlike the other beautiful things in Miami, Frost Science–best described as part aquarium, part science museum–has a lot of substance.
During our visit, the Power of Science exhibition is where we spent the majority of our time. Here is where you can find the largest reef tank in Miami. With approximately 12,000 gallon of constantly filtered natural saltwater, this gigantic reef tank mimics the Great Barrier Reef, the world’s largest coral reef system. With over 600 fish and thousands of different live coral species, set in an exhibit gallery with a price tag of over $5,000,000, a trip to South Florida would not be complete without a visit to Frost Science to see this reef.
