Today our teacher and videographer is @pierrick_moana ???? ????

“Sharks feeding on a dead whale is part of the marine ecosystem balance, they are one of the greatest cleaners of the ocean.

They are really powerful! One of these Tiger sharks was able to remove a pectoral fin with ease.

@kokocuvier and I found our space around them, making sure to not disturb them while they worked on the carcass.

This event is really important for the marine ecosystem, these dead whales are a great source of energy for the sharks.

The sharks will clean up and help the carcass sink into deep water which will be another essential food source for our deep marine ecosystem for many years to come.

Each marine animal fulfills its own role, allowing the balance of the marine ecosystem in our beautiful ocean.”
