Earlier this year, Willum, one of the koalas at Hamill Family Play Zoo was showing some signs of discomfort while eating his typical eucalyptus diet. To help investigate further, the veterinary team invited Dr. Steve Juriga, a veterinary dentist to the Zoo to do a dental exam and extraction. Thanks to the collaboration between animal care specialists, Zoo veterinarians, and veterinary experts like Dr. Juriga, animals around the Zoo get the specialized care they need to thrive.
