Green bubble algae show up in saltwater reef tanks as green bladders filled with fluid. The bladders are round, elongated, curved, or in branches. They can be in dense groups of small spherical green balls
Is green bubble algae bad?
The short answer is BAD! Like most algae, if you don’t get it under control it will quickly overcome your tank. Green bubble algae are worse than many other nuisance algae because removal is so difficult.
You can manually remove bubble algae that is accessible by grabbing the grouping with your fingertips and gently wiggling back and forth until it dislodges at the base. In crevices and other tight areas of rockwork,
you will need a tool such as an awl or flathead screwdriver that is small enough to reach into tight spaces and dislodge the algae. You must be very careful not to pop the algae by squeezing too hard or with the hand tool.
If possible, if there are pieces of rock or equipment that you can take out of the tank to scrub clean, you should do so. By doing this, you are decreasing the chance of causing one of the green bubbles to rupture and
you can be more sure that you have thoroughly taken care of the algae-infected object.
Use a turkey baster Alternatively, if you have spare airline tubing and a bucket or jug, you can discreetly siphon out the Bubble Algae. Essentially, you use the airline tubing to suck up the green bubbles and knock the green bubbles off with the end of the tube.

Eupolymnia crasscornis
Spagheti Worm are a very common hitchhiker that can very easily end up in your saltwater aquarium. This is not a sign of carelessness on your part: it just happens and there isn’t much you can do to prevent it.
The sight of a spaghetti worm extending its tentacles can be pretty disturbing to those who aren’t familiar with the species. They can grow very long and spread a rather unattractive looking mucus around the bottom of the tank.
Spaghetti worms generally aren’t seen as harmful to the health of your aquarium at all. If anything, they improve it. After all, they don’t attack anything live and don’t damage your precious corals.
Spaghetti worms can be beneficial to your aquarium. They clean your tank’s sand and eat floating particles
If you’re seeing a lot of spaghetti worms in your tank, to the point where it’s a bit disturbing, this could be a strong indication that you’re either overfeeding or not cleaning enough.
One common problem related to spaghetti worms that we do have to mention is the possibility of a drastic decline in water quality if the worms can’t be sustained and die off en masse. This produces a big spike in ammonia, which can be fatal to your fish and corals.
To get rid of spaghetti worms completely, you can take them out of your tank one by one.
We couldn't find a reliable source of why the spaghetti worm is leaving its tube, if you have any information about the topic please tell us in the comments.

Our Fish and Shrimp Keeping Tutorials are based on our DIY experience keeping aquariums with tropical fish, shrimp, and other freshwater or saltwater livestock.
We have mostly freshwater aquarium setup, shrimp keeping and breeding experience, and we have recently started with saltwater aquarium setup.

During aquarium maintenance sessions or while aqua scaping a nano tank, shots were taken in real time or time-lapse with phone or action cameras. Those are some DIY aquarium hobby daily routine ideas for planted tanks, reef tanks, and freshwater aquariums that we and you can use.

Please send us your feedback and thoughts on what you'd want to see more of in the aquarium and fishkeeping hobby!
