In commemoration of World Wetlands day 2022, the Forestry Division embarked on virtual presentations and lectures to selected schools discussing this year‘s theme “wetlands action for people and nature."
Forestry officers conducted virtual lectures to the Vishnu boys Hindu college, Biche R.C school and Rio Claro East Secondary where the Permanent Secretary Ms. Susan Shurland along with the Deputy Permanent secretary, Ms Coomarie Goolabsingh and Conservator of Forests Mr. Denny Dipchansingh participated in virtual discussions with the students. These sessions were very interactive and were aimed at getting the message of sustainable wetland management to the students and other participants.
