Argentine horned frogs are found in South America. In honor of the video game mascot with the big, snapping mouth, they are sometimes known as Pacman frogs. They grow in different hues, which is perhaps why some people keep them as unusual pets.

These frogs are calm predators who wait patiently for their prey to come into view before springing with their jaws open to swallow down their meal in one motion. Almost everything, including mice, insects, and birds, will be consumed by them.

Argentine horned frogs have been found to choke when attempting to eat an object that is too big for them.
