The scaly-breasted munia or spotted munia, known in the pet trade as nutmeg mannikin or spice finch, is a sparrow-sized estrildid finch native to tropical Asia. A species of the genus Lonchura, it was formally described and named by Carl Linnaeus in 1758.
When mom went out to look for food, these four chicks were constantly moving while sleeping. After mom bird feeds all the young until they are full, mom still watches over the young in the nest. The mother cleans and collects the feces of the young to eat.
