The giant grouper is a true ocean giant, growing over 8 feet long and weighing hundreds of pounds! But instead of roaming coral reefs, this one lives in a shopping mall aquarium. It looks healthy, but you can’t help but wonder—does it miss the open sea?

These slow-moving giants are curious, powerful predators, capable of swallowing fish (and even small sharks!) in a single gulp. But in captivity, they often become lazy, quiet observers, watching the world go by from behind the glass.
