The kit upgrades your Quantum 160 to EQ spec: a 24V controllable pump, controller, RGB LED lighting, new bubble plate, power supply, etc. 
It gives you app control (via Mobius™ or Apex Fusion), stepless adjustment (1–100%), scheduling modes (Performance, Plankton Saving, Nutrient Export Reduction) and smart safety features. 
Plus, the new pump is claimed to use up to ~20% less power while boosting output by ~10%.
