In this video we take a detailed look at the Lined Seahorse, Hippocampus Erectus. There are more than 40 species of seahorse worldwide, but they all share the same unexpected features. We explore how sea horses hunt, how they are capable of camouflaging in their environment, sometimes mimicking algea, coral or sea sponges. We also get an up close look that their unusual prehensile tails and finally examine sea horse genetics.
