A group of Cormorants enjoy life basking in the autumn sunlight as they sit on top of a wreck in a fjord outside Tromsø city in Northern Norway. These aquatic birds are fish-eaters and can be found along the coast of Norway in all seasons of the year! Their Norwegian name is "Skarv".' The wreck is almost 100 year old and is the Russian steamer Oimara. This steamer left Murmansk in Russia with refugees in 1917, but was abandoned by the crew and left to rot on the beach. It was built of sturdy oak and the structure of the steamer is still standing after 105 years of winter gales!

According to researchers from Trinity College Dublin and the University of California, San Francisco, a short “awe” walk, where you make a conscious effort to look for things to be amazed by, taken once a week can combat negative emotions and help to maintain a healthy mind! So open your eyes and look for something that amaze you!

"Forest bathing" (Shinrin-yoku in Japanese) / Nature Therapy is all about taking a time out, slowing down and connecting with the joy of being outdoors. Exposure to trees, the sky and natural sounds has a calming effect and is beneficial for mental well-being. In an ideal world you would go for a walk in a forest or sit on a bench in a park and enjoy the view, but it is not always possible to do it. So I hope that my video will be a substitute, but also an inspiration to do forest bathing in real life.

This is Arctic Nature Therapy channel: immersive routes in Northern Norway, incredible landscapes with fjords and mountains, virtual walks into the nature with real sounds (no talking-no filters), relaxing waterfalls and streams, old houses in the countryside, wild beaches, drone flights above stunning landscapes, life in the Arctic city Tromsø through the seasons, and many more.
