Some of the most expensive snakes and lizards and even tortoises in the world used to be really cheap! Even snake species like the Mexican Black Kingsnake used to be less than $100 but now can fetch much higher prices. Sure they are still much cheaper pet snakes than Eastern Indigo snakes but still worth a pretty penny. If you are looking for bigger expensive snakes, dumerils boas are REALLY expensive now where they used to sell for only a few hundred dollars we are now seeing these constrictors sell for close to or even more than $1000 these days. Now tortoises also are really expensive in some parts of the world. Even things like Sulcata tortoises can fetch over $500 and forget about Red foot tortoises, cherry head tortoises, pancake tortoises, Indian star tortoises and the really big and expensive Aldabra tortoises and Galapagos Tortoises! Even really common lizards like Blue Tongue Skinks can be sold for over $1000 depending on morph of that skink! The cheapest reptiles for sure are not becoming the most expensive pet reptiles in some cases like Emerald Tree Boas. The Northern Emerald Tree Boas are still expensive but nothing compares to the stunning and beautiful bright green snakes that are the Amazon Basin Emerald Tree Skinks. Sometimes sold for as much as Twenty Thousand Dollars these are some really expensive exotic animals and an investment quality project if you're looking into one of the most beautiful boa species in the whole world!
