What is herping? Herping is the fascinating hobby of finding reptiles and amphibians in the wild! The word herping comes from the term herpetology which is the study of reptiles and amphibians. If you'd like to try this hobby, we recommend finding an experienced herper to learn the ropes from. Always study and learn as much about the animals and possible dangers in an area before exploring and herping. Also learn your local, state, and federal laws regarding herps and other wildlife and be sure to obey them. Happy herping!
