This week’s Virtual Safari is all about tension, territory, and a few rare, unforgettable moments in the wild.

We start with something special: a sighting of the Ngungwe Female’s remaining cub, still skittish and seldom seen. With a kill hoisted high in a marula tree across from Varty Camp, we watch and wait—hoping to see her call the cub or descend from the branches. What follows is a quietly magical moment of bonding and feeding between mother and cub.

But the action doesn't stop there...

A call over the radio sends us racing to witness the Xinzele Female chase the Makomsava Female—an unexpected territorial clash between two strong females, possibly triggered by mating interests.

???? Lions on the Move:
Later, we watch two Kambula Males cross the Sand River, before ending the drive with a surprise: the Styx Male roaring and scent-marking deep in Ndzhenga territory. It’s a bold power play that may have serious consequences.
