Temu’s Aquarium vs. The Tank I Actually Recommend!

Earlier this year I set myself a challenge: could I build an aquarium using only products recommended by Temu? The result was a small blackwater tank that worked for shrimp, but not much else. Some of the items were surprisingly good quality, but many of them were cheap, unreliable, or completely unsuitable for fish.

In this video I’m comparing that build with a proper blackwater aquarium setup for my betta. The goal is to show what Temu gets wrong, what it gets right, and how you can create a safe and affordable blackwater aquarium without wasting money on bad equipment.
