Do guppies eat biofilm on the water surface? ❤️????????????
~
This is my Low-tech, No-Filter Walstad aquarium with three wild-type guppies.
~
I perform weekly maintenance, including a 15-20% water change. Despite the lack of filtration or surface agitation, the water remains crystal clear.
~
I believe the wild guppies feed on the biofilm at the water’s surface, contributing to the tank’s clarity and balance!

According to Diana Walstad, plants consume the available CO2 by around midday. Taking a siesta allows the CO2 levels to replenish, providing enough for the plants to use again in the afternoon.
