I’m heading off on a 10-day vacation, and my sister will be taking care of feeding the fish and shrimp in my aquariums. She’ll be feeding them fish and shrimp pellets every 2 days. I’ve also added mulberry and Indian almond leaves to the tanks. The mulberry leaves will break down quickly (within 3 days), providing an immediate food source for the shrimp and wild guppies.
Indian almond leaves, on the other hand, will decompose more slowly, taking around two weeks to fully break down. As they decompose, biofilm will form, offering additional food for the shrimp and guppies.
I also performed partial water changes in all my tanks two days before leaving.
