A day full of excitement with the elephants ???? The resident hippo marks his territory next to the waterhole, sparking a flurry of excitement from our herd. Trumpets sound, heads swing and the herd’s dominant figures investigate, while the youngsters observe from a safe distance.
Later in the day, the herd graze peacefully alongside a large herd of impala with some zebras. These smaller herbivores co-exist peacefully with elephants, despite Khanyisa's past experience with a startling little impala.
